Women sometimes play an important role in bringing down poor leadership system. Drawing illustration from the text parliament of owls write an essay to show the truth of this statement.

The females who are daring sometimes plays a vital role in exposing the ills in the society and eventually bring a positive revolution. This is as illustrated in the play Parliament of Owls.

Tel Tel the woodpecker brought a revolution. RedString and other owls wanted Tel Tel to spread propaganda about the importance of moonlight Bill to the birds. Ironically the bill limits the freedom of the birds. They banned moonlight twittering, they also banned birds flying from tree to tree in the night and any other unauthorized movement past 6 p.m this is to oppress other birds yet the owl shall be immune to these new laws. All birds are also to contribute a daily moonlight tax to enable members of the great parliament to perform their duty of protecting the kingdom Tel Tel says she is not interested and he has to stand with other birds. She accuses them of hooting and looting while other birds are hunger stricken. she points a finger on passing bad laws that favour them (Pg. 6, 7).she tells Red string the moonlight tax is a way of extorting money from birds. She refuses to spread propaganda by telling the birds that the tax will enhance their safety and partly feed the sick and old birds. Tel Tel says she cannot mislead day birds or any birds. She accuses the parliament of owl of arrogance and greed. She boldly says she cannot rise to spread anymore on behalf of the wicked parliament of owls. Tel Tel tells Red string that the birds are rehearsing the freedom song and red string should not preoccupy with arresting her because of declining the offer. She is arrested by the police owl for treason but somehow frees herself and was also present during the coup to bring trouble to money Bags who is later away bringing a revolution.

(Pg 6,7,8,13,118,123)

Oyundi, liberates the birds from corrupt and dictatorial leadership. Oyundi mobilises the day birds into action. Tel Tel mocks Red string that the owls cannot get hold of her with all their heads together, the owls spend sleepless nights because of Oyundi .Oyundi also summons the hiding birds and tells them she has a plan and wants Tel Tel to play it perfectly because she is the mother of all tricks. Her plan is to kick out the parliament of owls and build a new institution, A parliament of owl will be replaced by the flock of birds. Oyundi makes all the birds to imagine a new kingdom with flocks of birds. She even tells Osogo to call the birds into action with the flute. Her song must praise the royal owl of fool him into trusting them. She urges the birds to sacrifice that day for a better tomorrow. Oyundi also assigns feathered beak to monitor what goes on at the Royal tree. She urges the birds to build that kingdom with the right material, change laws and have a fair representation in the parliament if they want a safe, secure and comfortable kingdom. She also urges them to be United for one purpose and befriend the enemy but strike when they least expect. Finally Oyundi helps the birds to stage a coup and liberate them. She accuses Royal owl of killing his ally for his selfish interest since he wanted the golden bead and tells him to free the kingdom from the oppressive and cruel rule of owls. She declares it is time to chase the owls out of parliament and sing songs of liberation. She pounces on Royal owl and chased the owl out of parliament as they sing songs of liberation. The Royal owl takes off and Oyundi declares the birds kingdom a kingdom of democracy.(Pg12,13,80-82,88,92,124,128,129)

The iron lady fights for the right of the birds and advocating for equality and justice. She disregards Redstring for being a puppet of money bag and faults the leaders of appointing into high office owls that were just mere Cooks in Royal owl kitchen pg. 27. She also accuses the leadership of Royal owls for eating lizards every night while other birds cannot find water in the kingdom and have to fly kilometer to find eater Pg. 28. Iron lady tells and reminds the speaker that the parliament is supposed to uplift the dignity of the Kingdom and ask Socialite owl to leave the house however she is the one who is kicked out after telling them the truth (p. 29). She also exposes the fact that the new law is a secret plot by money Bag to loot funds from the bird's coffers and channel them to his private investment in unknown trees deep in the forest. She tells the speaker in parliament of owls that if he passes that law he will be encouraging theft and robbery with violence. She even tells the speaker that Money Bag is drunk with power and misleading the parliament. All these contribute to change in the kingdom. (Pg. 27,28,29,31,34.)

Little p the reporter leaked useful information that made the revolution be realized. Little p is an employee of Birds Eye- view. Television Network, she tells Osogo and TelTel about the corrupt plan of Money bag, he schemes to get the security tender. Money bags tricked the crows and the vultures. He pretends to be impartial regarding the contest between the two flocks of birds over security tender to Olik Tiga before the passing of the law of Bird Protection( Pg. 68). She also reports to Osogo, Tel Tel and Ochongorio that Oyundi was declared an enemy of Parliament of Owls and Kingdom of birds (Pg. 64). Little p also did an expose that Arum Tidi had a damning dossier on a serious scandal which implicates Money bags and Royal trees. Money bags even warned all birds against speculating about Arum Tidi's death (Pg. 69). During the Unity Pact Ceremony Little P says most birds do not want to speak about sensitive issues like the death of Arum Tidi because Money bags is the Kings Blue eyed Bird and no one wants to loudly point fingers.

In conclusion, change can only be brought by determined and courageous women characters as illustrated above.
