Synopsis of Parliament of Owls play by Adipo Sidang

The play delves into the inner workings of the powerful Parliament of Owls, led by the enigmatic Royal Owl, King Tula Nyongoro, and his trusted ally, MoneyBags Owl.

The Parliament of Owls holds immense authority akin to the Royal Tree, the seat of King Tula Nyongoro.

While owls present themselves as the most intelligent and capable of governing the kingdom, their actions in the parliament tell a different story.

Laws are passed in favor of owls, often at the expense of other bird species in the kingdom.Bills are rushed through, like the moonlight bill, hastily pushed forward to quash potential protests from other birds.

Members of parliament are either coerced or incentivized to support these bills, leaving little room for dissent. Those who dare to oppose are swiftly dealt with, like Iron Lady, who is ejected from the parliament.

Oyundi, a determined fire finch, sees the corruption within the parliament and rallies other like-minded birds to challenge its authority. With support from rebel owls, day birds, grain eaters, and even some night birds and omnivores, Oyundi seeks to overthrow the oppressive regime of the Parliament of Owls.To achieve this, Oyundi must uncover the greatest secret within the Royal Trees, known as "The Golden Bead".

As tensions escalate and the birds' desire for change grows, Oyundi devises a clever plan to bring an end to the rule of the Royal Owl.Through strategic maneuvering and cunning tactics, Oyundi orchestrates the downfall of the Parliament of Owls, paving the way for a more inclusive government led by the Flock of Birds.
